The Dairy Mart is a fun, family owned and operated ice cream shop. They sell a variety of exciting and unique sundae options, as well as your more traditional ice cream options and treats. The Dairy Mart also ensures they have a large variety of dairy free options available. They are open 11AM-9PM Sunday through Thursday, and Friday and Saturday 11AM-10PM.

Chillermania’s author Johnathan Rand has been a world renown author for over 2 decades. He is most famously known for his Michigan Chillers series which is a series of sci-fi thrillers based in various cities around Michigan, and his American Chillers series which consist of sci-fi thrillers based in different states. Johnathan Rand’s store is set up right off of M-27 on the north side of Indian River. This store is a one-of-a-kind, and Johnathan and his wife are always ready and excited to meet visitors. This place is a must stop. Their store is open 10AM-4PM, 6 days a week, and 12PM-4PM on Sunday.

Drost’s Chocolates store is an absolute must stop for anyone – tourist and local alike. They have delicious ice cream, fantastic hot chocolate, unique gifts and trinkets, as well as handmade candy and baked goods. Their staff is always incredibly friendly, and the store is conveniently located right in the heart of downtown Indian River.

The Cross in the Woods is the largest crucifix in the world. It is 55 feet tall, 22 feet wide, and weighs about 14,000 pounds. The Cross in the Woods construction was completed in 1959 on August 9th. The crucifix is open to the public, and absolutely awe-inspiring.

The Summer Store is your one-stop shop for all of your summer needs. They sell name-brand sunglasses, surf boards, tubes, footwear, insulated water bottles, touristy clothing, and a whole lot more. They are open 10AM-5PM 6 days a week, and 10AM-4PM on Sunday.
